As I mentioned, I want to start including some subscriber-only material here for those handful of folks so generous as to sponsor this ol’ newsletter.

Here is one such example:

Before pitching my debut sci-fi/horror novel Abducted to Dark Matter Ink, the project had a different form. Back in 2017/18, I was pitching Abducted as a potential comic book limited series and/or graphic novel.

To that end, I want to share a PDF pitch document with you all. This includes: a one-sheet pitch document with logline, notes on appeal/potential audience, and a summary of what I envisioned for the 6 issues; a longer issue-by-issue summary; and, finally, the original script for the first issue of the comic.

Folks who’ve subscribed can read on from here, but note that you should really read Abducted (the novel) first, so as not to be spoiled. I think you’ll see that the story was largely intact from this version to the finished prose version. However there are a few points of departure.
