Patrick Comes Alive!
Come see and buy my books
In which, I outline some very near future, near future, and not-so-near future events where you can find me…
Lit & Libations
This Thursday March 19 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. (see what I meant about very near future), I will be back at King Coil Spirits in Saint Paul, MN (across from Lake Monster Brewing) for their Lit & Libations event.
I had a blast when I did this event last October and with this month’s L&L spotlighting local authors (such as yours truly), I’m really hoping we will have a good turn-out. Books and drink specials, folks! Including a $7 gin special.
If you’re in or around the Twin Cities, pop in and say hi.
This event really kicks off a real run of events on the horizon for me, such as…
Rewind Book Fest
April 18 and 19. One of two events I’ll be tabling at that takes place at the MN State Fairgrounds. This one is the first. Organized by the fantastic Rachel Silberman who has been the brains behind a lot of similar book-related events in and around the Twin Cities for the past couple of years.
This is a 2-day affair this time around, and we’ll be set up in the Grandstand area.
Tickets are available HERE.
Then, I’ll be taking May off (unless something comes up ;) ), but I will get back in the swing of things in June for…
StokerCon 2026
The Grandaddy of them all (to steal from Wrestlemania). Official dates: Thursday June 4 to Sunday June 7. But I’ll be in Pittsburgh from Wednesday June 3 to Monday June 8.
This will be my first StokerCon as a member of the HWA Executive Board and the first one where I’m a nominee (in the Short Non-Fiction category) for a Stoker Award.
Always love StokerCon and getting a chance to catch up with all my horror writing pals. It’s an invigorating week-ish span of time. I always come away from StokerCon with….a cold! No, wait, I mean, a renewed passion for writing and working in the horror genre. (Okay, it’s probably both).
Hoping that this time around in Pittsburgh, I get to see more of the Romero-related sites, like the Dawn of the Dead mall.
And that won’t be the only traveling I’m doing in the month of June.
Creepaway Camp
June 29th to July 3rd. Traveling to Colorado for the first time. I will be in Colorado Springs for what looks to be a very cool event put on by Broom Book & Candle: Creepaway Camp. Lot of other authors will be in attendance with programming directed toward the horror readers I believe.
I’ll be there representing the Horror Writers Association and the Patrick Barb Association (of which I am the sole member…currently).
Details still being ironed out. As soon as I know more, you will know more (shortly after when I remember to post about it).
Registration is here.
It really does look to be a lot of fun. Colorado folks, come through!
And then, I’ll be back to the Twin Cities and the MN State Fairgrounds for…
Book Fair for Grown-ups
July 11th. This will be my second Book Fair for Grown-ups (as sponsored by Inbound Brewing). Also, happening at the Grandstand.
For last year’s Fair, I had a non-stop stream of people at my table, sold out of nearly everything, and made more than I’d ever made before at a live event.
